Acting Inspector Hall present.

Victoria Gaol.
7th September, 1897.
Sam Yin states:- I am a prisoner in Victoria Gaol undergoing a sentence of 9 months imprisonment with H.L. for keeping a common gaming house at No. 2 da Lane.
I recognise the paper produced. It is a list of persons to whom bribes were paid for keeping open a gambling at No. 2 We Lane.
I kept that gambling house. I opened it in the year of the Great Plague in the 6th moon. I wrote the list.
It is in the same condition and has not been altered since it was in my possession. It was seized by the Captain Superintendent of Police on the 24th June at No. 3 East Street.
I do not know the Police Officer who is present. There is an entry in this referring to No. 91. It is the entry 91, $1.10/100 a day was paid to the "boy" A Fuk for No. 91 Sergeant.
The payment began when the gambling house was opened.
